Volunteers Needed

Over 200 volunteers are needed to perform a wide range of roles, including welcoming, directing people, assisting with sessions and coordinating. Volunteer shifts are in blocks with a minimum of 4 hours, and volunteers will earn an hour of meeting attendance, excluding paid events such as the tutorials, dinners or receptions, for every hour of volunteer time. Lunch or dinner will be provided for volunteers taking two shifts back to back. You can volunteer for as many shifts as you would like to. Learn More About Volunteering

Student Program

On Wednesday, July 20 from 11:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., employers are urged to support the student program by sponsoring a table at the luncheon and by participating in the student job fair.

The IEEE PES GM 2016 organizing committee and the student activities subcommittee of IEEE PES Power and Energy Education Committee are happy to announce that there will be a Student Poster Contest at the IEEE PES GM Conference 2016 in Boston, MA from July 17-21, 2016. The poster session is scheduled on Tuesday July 19, 2016 from 7:30 AM-9:30 AM along with attendee breakfast. In addition, the student program will include a Collegiate/Industry/Faculty Luncheon on Wednesday July 20, 2016 from 11:030 AM-1:30 PM followed by a job fair. The deadline for poster abstract submission is March 15th, 2016 (5 P.M. USA Eastern Standard Time). Information describing how and where to submit poster abstracts is online here.

There will also be a Student Housing Support Program. The application for student housing must be submitted on or before 15th March 2016 and is accessible online here. Please note that conference registration, which is heavily discounted for students, is required to participate in the program.
