Caixia Wang is the Chief Engineer of Department of Renewable Energy and Statistics, State Grid Energy Research Institute. She got her PhD degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and had one year at Iowa State University during her PhD study. She joined State Grid Energy Research Institute in 2012. Her main research areas are: power system operation analysis with large scales of renewable energy, renewable energy integration in electricity markets, renewable energy policy analysis, and the application of energy storage in power systems. She was awarded UVIG Achievement Award 2016 for pioneering studies in wind and solar integration, priority dispatch, wind forecasting and curtailment reduction that have helped guide China’s recent power sector reform initiatives. She had more than 60 publications and received more than 50 research awards from China National Energy Administration, Government of Beijing, Chinese Society of Electrical of Engineering, State Grid Corporation of China, etc.
