Clint P. Bullock is the General Manager & Chief Executive Officer of Orlando Utilities Commission, better known as OUC – The Reliable One. OUC is a municipally owned electric and water utility that serves more than 400,000 accounts spread across Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties. It’s the 14th largest public power utility in the United States.
Mr. Bullock has worked at OUC since 1989. Under his leadership, OUC has launched a transformative initiative to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with interim CO2 reductions of 50% by 2030 and 75% by 2040. Included in this commitment are plans to retire OUC’s two coal plants in the next few years and significantly expand its reliance on solar power and other renewable energy technologies like battery storage. Mr. Bullock also has positioned OUC as a leading Florida utility in the move to support electric vehicle growth through the development of high-speed charging stations.
In just the last couple of years, OUC has garnered high praise from its customers, of which Mr. Bullock is very proud. OUC was named the “2020 Most Trusted Brand” among electric utilities in a nationwide independent customer survey. A year later, it was named the nation’s highest-ranked midsize water utility based on an annual water utility residential customer satisfaction study conducted by J.D. Power. And 2022 brought OUC its fifth consecutive annual Environmental Champion award and its first No. 1 ranking among U.S. electric utilities for “environmental dedication.”
Mr. Bullock himself also was honored to be named a “2021 CEO of the Year” by Orlando Business Journal and was included on the 2019, 2020 and 2021 Florida Trend 500 list, a compilation of the 500 most influential business leaders in different economic sectors throughout the state. Additionally, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando and Prospera recognized him as the 2021 Hispanic Community Champion.
